Iowa County
Scenic rural roads take you off the beaten path and through mile after mile of the magnificent Iowa County countryside. Although dairy herds still dot the hillsides, you’ll also see other types of agriculture, including emus, deer, vegetable, and tree farming.
Among the many highlights that area visitors enjoy are House on the Rock, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin, Lands' End Visitor’s Center, the American Player’s Theatre, Cave of the Mounds, Pendarvis State Historical Site, and a host of gift shops and, artisan galleries. History lovers will delight in the numerous historic sites and museums, and nature lovers will enjoy the parks, prairies and trails.
Iowa County also offers several outstanding wineries, award winning cheese factories, and ethnic Cornish specialties.
