Monroe County
Historic bike trails with cavernous tunnels, an Amish community, cranberry bogs, and the scenic beauty of an unglaciated area make Monroe County an area rich in memorable impressions.
Among the many highlights visitors enjoy are fishing and hunting, Amish heritage, and historical museums. Known as the land of “bikes and berries,” visitors enjoy the bike trails and related activities, plus a host of cranberry-related experiences including tours and festivals.
Of course no visit to the Hidden Valleys area is complete without a sampling of the local tastes. Monroe County offers cheese, Amish made candy and maple syrup, and a host of cranberry delicacies – including cranberry ice cream.
