The Wisconsin tourism lost a wonderful colleague, friend and all-around great guy, Patrick Reinsma. Patrick was the Wisconsin Department of Tourism's Southwest Wisconsin Regional Tourism Specialist. Department of Tourism Secretary Klett described him well: "unique, funny, genuine, quirky, smart, caring, a life-force." Because of the positive impact he had on so many in Wisconsin Tourism, the WI Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus (WACVB) seeks to continue his legacy by establishing a Patrick Reinsma Memorial Scholarship at the Waukesha County Technical College Hospitality Management Program through the College's Foundation. Patrick was a native of Waukesha and he would be so honored to be able to financially assist a student pursuing a career in the industry he loved. We hope you will contribute to our goal of creating this legacy scholarship program in memory of Patrick.

If you have ever visited a dairy farm, met an Emu, tasted a squeaky-fresh cheese curd still warm from the vat, got lost in a corn maze, or picked your own strawberries under the same summer sun that sweetened them then you've been involved in ag-tourism! With Agriculture and Tourism among the top revenue generators in Wisconsin, combining the two into "Ag-Tourism" makes good business sense and offers unlimited potential for growth.
