Vernon County
The quiet beauty and lure of Vernon County is evident in strip-contoured farm fields, rock outcroppings, scenic bluffs, stands of Birch, hillsides studded with Maples, and winding country roads.
Among the many highlights for visitors are driving the Great River Road, navigating the Mississippi by houseboat, fishing in Timber Coulee, exploring Wildcat State Park, visiting the Norskedalen Nature and Heritage Center, and eagle watching at Blackhawk Park.
