Grant County
Nestled between the Mississippi to the west and the Wisconsin River on the north, Grant County is filled with an abundance of creeks and rivers and more trout streams than any other Wisconsin county. The area is a sportsman’s paradise, noted for excellent fishing, hunting, bird watching, trails, and water sports of all kinds.
Among the many highlights visitors enjoy are state parks, golfing, bike trails, museums, stock car races, rustic roads, a car ferry across the Mississippi, and mining history.
Of course no visit to the Hidden Valleys area is complete without a sampling of the local tastes. Don’t miss the Catfish Festival or a chance to try the locally grown popcorn.
