Juneau County

Geographical diversity is a hallmark of Juneau County. From sand country to hill country, from northern forests to the unglaciated “driftless area,” Juneau County boasts beautiful and scenic landscapes.

Among the many highlights visitors enjoy are three rail-to-trail bicycling experiences, parks and camping, rivers and lakes, and a host of historical opportunities.

Nature lovers will delight in a visit to the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge. Watchable wildlife is also abundantly present in the area, with a variety of opportunities throughout the year for viewing deer, turkeys, geese, raccoons, butterflies, eagles, partridges, pheasants, wolves, coyotes, fox, swans, and sandhill cranes.

You can also visit Juneau County's website at www.juneaucounty.com.
