Located halfway between La Crosse and Madison, Richland County is a land of steeply wooded hillsides and lush valleys in an unglaciated area of southwestern Wisconsin. Richland County showcases an abundance of hardwood forests – offering the backroad enthusiast a beautiful vista of fall color.

Among the many highlights visitors enjoy are festivals, fishing, canoeing, biking, hiking, and Amish settlements.

Orchards and farms offer locally made produce for every season – including strawberries, apples, grapes, and cherries. Honey, molasses, and maple syrup are also available.
