Most Round Barns built in the Midwest were constructed between 1890 and 1930, primarily as dairy barns.  Driving Tour information on these barns can be found at our local Museums, Chambers of Commerce offices, and online.

"Cheyenne Valley Heritage Road Tour" Guides and the book, "Barns Without Corners, Round Barns of Vernon County", written by Kevin and Patsy Alderson, take you on a grand journey of the Barns.

If you are lucky, you will drive by one just by chance!  Please remember these are private properties and we appreciate the owners that are taking great care of these treasurers.
